Indian Slates
Slate is a fine-grained metamorphic rock
of argillaceous origin formed by the composition
of mud and stone sediment that splits into
thin,smooth-surfaced layers.It is chemically
a multi-mineral rock made of a composition
of minerals and colloidal substances.The
mineral composition essentially consists
of members of Mica group commonly sericite & muscovite, and
and accessory minerals such as oxides, calcites,
minor amounts quarts and feldspar along with
some contents of ferro-magnesium minerals.
The content of silica is normally poor. The
Clay group commonly consists of paragonite,
chlorite &kaonilite. This fine grained
meamorphic rock formed of above composition
of minerals and other organic substances
has been hardened by heat and pressure. Since
the geolgical process varies greatly from
place to place, its hardness and porosity
varies quite a bit.
Slates characteristics vary with source. It may be black, green, yellow,
brown, red or mottled and is relatively dense. Many slates that are
available today have wide ranging physical characteristics and overall
suitability.
The slate stone differs in its density, tensile strength, absorbency
and abrasion resistance.

North Indian Slates
Avail
a wide range of North Indian slates
that are quarried from the Arawali
range mines in Haryana and is processed
in our factory at Kund region. We
offer variety of special tiles and
mosaics using the slate and these
are popular in US. These are ideal
for interior as well as exterior
application. The slates are extremely
beautiful and cost effective than
any other natural stone for wall
or floor coverings. They render a
graceful, natural finish to any building.
Available in a host of attractive
colors, varieties and hardness, our
slates feature smooth granular surface.
We offer these stones in proper packaging
to avoid any damage during the transit.
The wide array of North Indian Slates
we offer are classified in six categories,
based on colors, as below.
